Customer Experience

Overview

This article covers how to best use Captyn as a customer. This guide will walk you through the signup flow, account management, checking in, and more.

Signing Up

When you begin the process using a Captyn checkout, you may start with a filtering cycle designed to give you the best experience and to give you a tailored, targeted view of classes to sign up for.

Here is what you will experience going through a signup experience using Captyn filters.

Once your filters have been applied, you will be presented with a list of matching classes to register for.

You may choose to skip to the results at any point, and then use the native filters to narrow down your classes.

Find the classes you wish to sign up your participants for, and click to add to the roster. You will be able to add your participant to a roster, add them to a waitlist, or the option will be greyed out due to the class not being open for registration or another requirement needed prior to registration.

You can enter a coupon at this point of the checkout experience if you have one to use.

Of note, if you are anticipating discounts for multiple students or multiple classes being registered for, you will see these applied only if this class is currently in progress or a one-time charged class. If it is a monthly class that bills in a future month, your cart will be for $0.00, and the discount will not show on the checkout. It will on your upcoming invoices that get created immediately in your customer account created on.

Additionally, if you want to take advantage of any discounts the organization is offering (multiple students registering or multiple classes being registered for), you must add all classes and/or participants to the same cart and checkout all together to maximize this benefit.

Once you have completed this step, you will proceed to create accounts for both yourself as an Account holder as well as all of the Participants. You will set things like basic contact information, emergency contact information, any "need to know" health concerns (e.g. an allergy or previous injury), as well as any custom questions the organization may choose to ask in the signup flow.

Account Management

You will create a profile in Captyn as an Account Holder. Any Participants you register will be linked to your account. Here, you are able to update a payment method (if necessary), view a daily schedule of your upcoming classes (you can review notes from the organization and even check in), view all programs you are registered for, manage your account, and even sign up for new classes.

Select My Schedule & Calendar to see a view of the classes you have.

Selecting My Group Programs from your Account home screen will take you to a list of your Registrations.

Click on My Account where you can view your linked participants from the top of the page, and click into any that you need.

Review all registrations on your account. This view will show you all registrations for all of your linked participants.

If you choose to click into a particular participant profile, and then select Registrations, you will see just the registrations for that particular participant.

You can choose to request a Cancellation or a Move from one class to another from the view of registrations.

Checking In For a Class

You can view your daily schedule by clicking on My Schedule & Calendar from your dashboard. This will take you to a page where you can either choose to page through the days, or pick a date from a selector. You can find each class that you are registered for on the corresponding day.

You will see the important details for the class in each day's class view. Be sure to check for any note the organization may have added to give you necessary information.

If set as an option by the organization, you do have the option to Check In to your classes.
